| The Old Mill Inn Bed & Breakfast, built in 1786, is tucked away on five
acres of woods, meadows, and farmland, with chickens, barn cats, dogs, and
miniature horses. We are bordered on two sides by the beautiful 18-hole Neshobe golf course, open to guests, with discounts available. Daisy, a golden retriever, and Maggie, a black cockapoo, are the inn's official greeters. Each of our four charming rooms have private baths and are decorated with hand-made quilts, original folk art, and country furniture. A large country breakfast is served in the sunny dining room featuring our own fresh eggs, juice, homemade breads, and our"special" home fries. Although the Inn gives you a romantic, secluded feeling, it is located within walking distance to historic Brandon, one of Vermont's loveliest small towns. Enjoy scenic hikes in the Green Mountains, bicycle through the quiet countryside, frolic in our swimming hole, or stroll around town visiting the many interesting shops. We are minutes away from downhill skiing at Killington and Middlebury Snowbowl, and cross-country skiing at Blueberry Hill, or Mountain Top ski centers. Of course, you can also play golf or ski on the adjoining property, depending on conditions. Best of all, you can just relax and listen to the brook on the cozy porch, or curl up by the fire, with a good book. |
